Visiting this website

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver pages and protect the service, the hosting infrastructure processes technical request data, which can include your IP address, requested URL, time of access, browser information, referring page and security events. This processing supports the legitimate interests of providing a reliable, secure research website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The site has no visitor accounts, contact forms, advertising, newsletter registration or audience analytics. Fonts, images and interactive figures are served with the website. The application does not set cookies or use browser local storage. Diagram selections and animation controls remain in the current page session and are not submitted to the operator.

Hosting and international processing

Vercel and its service providers may process technical data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Vercel's data processing terms describe its safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. Its privacy notice explains infrastructure and security processing. Technical records are retained under the hosting service's operational and security retention rules; the operator does not maintain a separate visitor-tracking database.

Contacting the researcher

If you email the contact address, your email address, message and any information you choose to include are processed to respond to your enquiry. The basis is the legitimate interest in handling research correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing that information is voluntary. Messages are kept for as long as necessary to handle and document the enquiry, subject to applicable research, institutional recordkeeping or legal requirements.

The contact mailbox is provided by UTS and uses its email infrastructure. UTS describes its own handling of personal information in its privacy information. Using that mailbox does not make UTS the operator of this website.

Links to publications and profiles open external services, whose own privacy terms apply when you visit them. This website does not embed their tracking widgets, videos or social feeds.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the operator using the email above. You may also complain to a data protection authority, including Spain's Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD). This website does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
